1. SWEEPSTAKES TERM AND DEADLINES: The “Call of Duty®: Black Ops 2 Multiplayer Re-Tweet to Win Twitter Sweeps” (the “Sweepstakes”) begins August 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) and ends August 18, 2012 at 11:59 pm PST (“Sweepstakes Period”). A random drawing of ten (10) Winners per day (forty (40) total Winners) will be held once per day from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. All entries received after August 18 2012 at 11:59 p.m. PST will be ineligible for the chance to win a prize.
2. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open and offered only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories and possessions), 18 years of age or older (except residents of Alabama and Nebraska, who must be 19 years of age or older and residents of Mississippi, who must be 21 years of age or older) at the time of entry. Sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories and possessions and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, officers and directors of Activision Publishing, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies and subsidiary companies, and their advertising, promotion, or production agencies, prize providers, Web masters and Web suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, with Sponsor, the “Sweepstakes Entities”), and their IRS dependents, immediate families (spouse and parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and/or members of their households, whether or not related, are ineligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Sweepstakes.
3. HOW TO ENTER: On Twitter, @CallofDuty will tweet a call-to-action message for followers to re-tweet the message, including the hashtag “#BlackOps2MP” in the re-tweet to be eligible to win. Each entrant has from the time of the call-to-action until 11:59 PST of that day to re-tweet and enter. The following day, ten (10) winners will be randomly drawn from the eligible entries received for the prior day, and winners will be announced at or around 11 a.m. PST (subject to eligibility verification) (“Entry”). Limit of one (1) Entry per person/email address/household, per day regardless of method of entry. An Entry for one call-to-action message does not carry over to the next day’s call-to-action. You must enter separately for each call-to-action in order to be eligible for that day’s prizes. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Any attempt at e-mail or other method of entry is void. Any attempt by any person to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email accounts, or any other methods including, without limitation, script, macro or any automated or other means which subverts the entry process, will void all of that person’s entries and that person will be disqualified. Re-tweets must comply with Twitter terms of use and shall not contain content that is unlawful or inconsistent with Sponsor, Call of Duty or its brand image. Sponsor may disqualify any such Entry at its sole discretion.
4. DRAWING: Ten (10) potential winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held each day from among all eligible entries received during the previous day. Random drawing will be conducted by Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received.
5. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Within seven (7) days of the conclusion of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor shall endeavor to notify potential winners (“Winners”) via Twitter direct message to obtain email and/or mailing address, then will follow up with a confirmation email or mail to the address supplied. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials from the web site. Should any portion of the Sweepstakes be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of Entries or codes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend or terminate the Sweepstakes, and if terminated, randomly select winners from all non-suspect, eligible Entries received prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute regarding Entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses. INSIDE BLACK OPS 2 MULTIPLAYER: SCORE STREAKS
In addition to a re-imagined Create-a-Class system, players will encounter a new Score Streak System – a system that is designed to reward more aspects of play and promote/reward those who achieve the objectives in each game mode.
Each Score Streak reward has a score requirement, a number that needs to be achieved in order for the reward to be earned. A player’s score goes up based on their in-game actions, such as kills, captures or plants. But what helps as well are the special plays made along the way, like defending an objective or scoring a double kill. The extra points earned from these actions now benefit a player’s climb towards bigger and better rewards. If a player dies at any time, their score is reset and they must rebuild their score meter again.
The list of Score Streak rewards range from new items drawn from the 2025 setting as well as some updated favorites. Suppress enemy movement with the brand new Guardian, a high-powered microwave dish that stuns and impairs enemies. Soar above the playing field with the Wasp quad rotor, taking out foes with the mounted machine gun.
Some rewards are player or AI controllable. When the Autonomous Ground Robot (A.G.R.) is brought into play, it breaks out of its airdrop container and instantly goes to work against the enemy. But at any time during its life, the owner can take over and remotely pilot this drone towards opposing troops.
One of my favorite AI-controlled Score Streaks is the escort drone – when you call it in, you hear it overhead, going to work for you and talking to you. You hear it target and eliminate targets, confirming it for you as it happens. And there’s also the Lightning Strike, which allows players to pinpoint three target areas and launch an aerial assault.
It’s that kind of interactivity that is factored into things like the Hellstorm Missile – players guide it to its path and can hit one spot or disperse a cluster of bombs to try and take out multiple enemies – it’s the ultimate risk/reward scenario. Pull the trigger too soon and you could miss everyone – pull it at the right time and you shift the momentum of the match. And don’t even get me started about the VTOL aircraft – you literally rain steel on your enemies from above.
Returning rewards have their own surprises as well. Players who call in UAVs now earn assist points whenever a teammate makes a kill, incentivizing this team support item. The Death Machine may be a little harder to earn this time around, but players now get to keep the devastating mini-gun for the duration of its massive ammunition supply.
Score Streaks are an exciting new way for players to earn in-game rewards. The system ensures that those who play the objective are justly rewarded for their efforts. At the same time, only those that display skill and precision will reach the most valuable rewards.

You ask and they respond, here is a question for the Call of Duty:® Black Ops 2 developers that we received on our@CallofDuty Twitter!
tayyib_chaos: @CallofDuty Can you change the storyline by the choices you make in #BlackOps2?
Treyarch: Yes, there will be choice events in the campaign that will effect the story. One way we are doing this is through Strike Force levels, which are new to Call of Duty and introduce, non-linear/sandbox-style gameplay to the single-player storyline for the first time. This is how they work – at several points, the head of special forces will address you and let you know that a conflict has arisen (a "proxy war," happening parallel to the main storyline) and that you need to handle it. You'll choose your mission and be inserted into the action. Once you're in, you'll be in a sandbox map and be required to achieve several objectives. While playing, players will be able to take control of the battle like never before, being able to assume control of any member or robot/drone from their squad – even zooming out and playing in an Overwatch mode. You can play with all the toys — you can play however you like – whatever you feel you need to do to advance the action. Whichever point of view you assume, you are able to set waypoints, issue commands – do whatever you need to do — to succeed at the level. And there lies the implication to the level: you will either succeed or fail a mission (a first for Call of Duty). Either way, the game and the story will continue on and the cumulative impact of your Strike Force accomplishments will ultimately shape the geo-political story arc of your single-player experience.

ASK THE DEVS - MOVING INTO THE FUTURE
You ask and they respond, here is a question for the Black Ops 2 developers that we received on our @CallofDutyTwitter!
Risiiii: @CallofDuty Did everyone agree at first to put #BlackOp2 In the future? And if so, what argument convinced that person?
Treyarch: Shortly after the first Black Ops was in the box, it was clear that the creative engines were still humming. As the team thought about how they wanted to push Black Ops fiction, as well as what they wanted to achieve from a gameplay perspective, everyone quickly gravitated to a near-future setting, because it would allow us to build upon Black Ops and create more intricate story arcs and multi-dimensional characters. Additionally, it's a period that opens up the door for a great deal more creativity — new weapons, vehicles, tech — it's all there to add to the type of gameplay we wanted players to have the opportunity to experience.

NUKETOWN: THE EXPLOSIVE HISTORY
On a week when Nuketown 2025 was announced as a pre-order bonus for Black Ops 2, it was only right that we take a look back at the story of Nuketown.
Nuketown takes place in a nuclear test site designed to simulate a typical American neighborhood. The map itself started out as an "unofficial" project for Level Designer Adam Hoggatt, who took the idea and had a working design up and running in only two days. It was quickly a favorite among the Black Ops developers.
Nuketown would ultimately play a crucial role in the development of the game, inspiring a level of creativity that would show up time and time again in Black Ops multiplayer. The map's randomly spawning mannequins and iconic end-of-match nuke sequence led to interactive features found on other maps, such as Launch's rocket liftoff and Kowloon's zip-line.
Just as it played with the developers, Nuketown became a fan-favorite in Call of Duty®: Black Ops almost immediately after the game's release. Small and simple, yet lending itself to a variety of playstyles, the map featured the type of fast-paced action that Call of Duty® fans from around the world have come to love. The numbers don't lie, Nuketown has become the most played multiplayer map in Black Ops history.
Now reimagined in a 60's depiction of the "Model Home of the Future", Nuketown 2025 is set to take that familiar close-quarters chaos into the future. Pre-order Call of Duty®: Black Ops II today, and look forward to some explosive action on November 13th!
